Creating a Playlist (Web Presenter)

Use InsitePortfolioTM's Playlist functionality to prepare for important meetings in advance. Select key pieces of content from one or multiple Portfolios, and organize them in the way that works best for you. Playlists are unique to the user, and sync across all devices.

Use Case - Playlists

Hero Tools Account Manager Max Caldwell has a busy week ahead. Max is flying from Hero's western headquarters in Portland, Oregon to Denver, Colorado to meet with three prospective customers over two days. The three companies he's meeting with are vastly different, and have unique needs. Max knows he needs to be prepared for these meetings, so he spends some time creating three Playlists while waiting for his outbound flight. He creates a separate Playlist for each prospective customer, picking documentation, videos, and other content that will be meaningful to each company. Then, after each meeting is complete, Max shares the Playlist with the company's decision-makers, in hopes that they will review the material and remember what a positive experience they had with Hero.

Create a Playlist from within a Collection

Most Playlists consist of multiple items. Creating a Playlist at the Collection level is the fastest way to add multiple content items to a Playlist.

  1. Click on the desired Collection.
  2. Click Playlist in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. A star appears in the bottom right corner of every content item. Click on the Star to select an item.
  4. Click Playlist (# of items). Type a name under New Playlist to add a Playlist, or select a current Playlist. Content items may be added to a single Playlist or to multiple Playlists.
  5. Click Save.

Create a Playlist from within a Content Item

Create a Playlist from within a content item to add an item to a Playlist on the fly.

  1. Click into the desired Collection.
  2. Select a content item.
  3. Click on the Star in the bottom right corner.
  4. Type a name under New Playlist to add a Playlist, or select a current Playlist.
  5. Click Save.

Edit a Playlist

Edit an existing Playlist to rearrange Playlist items, remove Playlist items, or change the name of a Playlist.

  1. To edit a single Playlist, click on Playlists on the left toolbar.
  2. Click on a Playlist.
  3. Click Edit in the upper left corner.
  4. Grab the drag-n-drop symbol to rearrange individual content items, or click the red x to remove a content item from the Playlist.
  5. Edit the Playlist name at the top of the screen.
  6. Click Save Changes.

View all Playlists

Visit the Playlists icon to move a Playlist to the top of the list, or delete a Playlist you no longer need.

  1. To view all Playlists, click on the Playlists icon on the left side of the screen.
  2. Click View All.
  3. Click Edit to edit the list. Click the red X to delete a Playlist, or click on the light grey bar to drag-and-drop the Playlist to a new spot.
